What is Spirituality?
Spirituality is the Catholic way of imagining reality and responding to the world with a profoundly deep sense of awe and responsibility.
An icon is not merely a holy picture. Its meaning goes deeper than the surface reality to the spiritual reality of matter transformed.
Dawn dispels the darkness...
The universe beats to your pace and rhythm Lord. May my life and soul share your breath and heartbeat always.
Lord, your love wells up to surround me and make me safe. Let me drink of your love now and always, Amen.

Home Tonight by Henri Nouwen
An invitation to prayer and reflection on the parable of the prodigal son. Nouwen encourages the reader to move through the parable reflecting on the scripture and painting of the prodigal son and on our own journey as prodigal son, elder sibling and the forgiving parent. The themes of forgiveness, reconciliation and homecoming, are very relevant to many and the reader is encouraged at the end of each chapter to reflect, write and pray. It is Nouwen's honest sharing of his own experiences that are very inspiring and challenged me to be more honest in my journey of faith. This is both a challenging and an excellent guide for prayer and reflection.
