Original Blessing by Matthew Fox

Original Blessing states itself to be a primer in Creation Centred Spirituality. It opens the door to various ways to see the world and our understanding of it. Fox extols the virtues of Creation-Centred Spirituality - at its most basic meaning Divine Centred. God is in everything - he says "when we try to pick out anything by itself we find it hitched to everything else in the universe". This seems quite a modern theory, though Fox dates it to pre modern times - to the mystics and Jesus himself. The spiralling journey has some beautiful paths, which you find yourself tumbling willingly down. It also has some more awkward paths which need some more thought and imagination. Fox call this book a primer, like an undercoat; put on to prepare for a new surface. The final coat -now that is up to you!
